This non-profit organization's site is actually a community portal. All the pet foster parents, volunteers, vets, and organizers can log in and communicate about what pets need to be saved, organize transfers, share medical records, and more. The administration panel lets members add dog and cat profiles with over 30 details per animal, such as size, age, breed, availability, and location. The location choices are connected to a separate location manager. When a dog gets adopted, they get automatically added to a Happy Tails section. Tight integration between modules means that admin can add events to a calendar, then check off all the pets that will be attending, and the site will display the event with a picture sidebar of all the pets that will be there!
This site has a robust adoption application system that allows admins to review and approve / deny them. A pages manager lets admin create new pages and add content to them. A user manager lets every member and family have a public profile and pictuer gallery. Announcements are handled by a journal manager. A complete stats system shows how many views the dogs got, who their foster parent is, and what their statuses are. A donation system is linked to Paypal and an internal secure server, giving the user a choice.
This world-renouned chef came to us needing a way to display his insane, award-winning creations. He needed to add his entire menu, complete with pictures, descriptions, and prices, and he wanted total control over ordering options. We programmed the site to let him create new options and assign them to menu items, such as cheesecake flavors, desired text to be written on cakes, sugarfree or not, and whatever else he thinks of. Then customers can customize their orders based on these choices.
We gave Dana a unique way to add selections of fillings, shapes, icing types, flavors, and sizes into the system. After doing that, he can assign those categories to menu items. For example, cakes can be assigned to the categories of icing types, flavors, and sizes. When a user adds one of these items to their cart, they will be able customize it with a selection from each category.
Using the specials manager, he can put the whole store, or select items on sale. He can set a percentage or dollar amount off, and set a minimum price threshhold and begin/end dates. The site automatically announces when a sale is active.
We built a testimonial manager where he can add nice things that people have said about his work. His categories manager lets him make unlimited sections and put menu items in them so that the site can automatically organize his storefront menu. His news page lets him paste news articles and snippets of what's been going on in his business.
This site is built on a multi-site platform with iconbreaks.com, meaning both sites look totally different but are hooked to a common administration area. This allows an unlimited number of independent sites to be run with ease and to share content. For example, mp3's can be uploaded to one place, then each one can be assigned to show up on either or both sites. This approach saves time, money, and makes maintenance more efficient.
A sites manager lets the owner turn the digital download stores on or off. An email list manager allows import / export of members of each site's lists. The mp3 manager lets the owner place songs in djamaze.com's radio.
This sister site to djamaze.com is built on a multi-site platform (see the djamaze.com portfolio for details). It is a Dj community site where artists can log in, manage their bios, and upload their tracks which the site will sell automatically. The site tracks all the money and calculates payouts according to admin-set percentages. Paypal is integrated seamlessly and transparently, accepting credit cards while keeping the user on iconbreaks.com.
The slick music catalog expands and begins playing when the magnifying glass is clicked, and file info is shown, such as file format, size, play time, and rating. Users can rate tracks, and the highest-rated ones show up on the homepage. Admin can upload track templates and give them customization options from which the user can choose, and the order is cataloged in the administration area until it is filled.
This site owner chose to only let users download a track once, then the download is immediately expired. Admin can un-expire any download for a customer, or even give away free downloads. You might want your site to work differently, as there are many, many custom programming options. The sky is the limit!
This is an extremely customized membership site.
